PREVIEW A COURSE

Skills and techniques for teaching music to diverse student populations. Emphasis is on neurological, physical, and behavioral diversity, but other aspects of student diversity are also addressed. Strategies for teaching music in both inclusive and self-contained music classrooms. Pre or Co-requisite: Introduction Special Education 05:300:383. Co-requisite: Elementary Methods and Materials (07:700:381), Methods and Materials in Choral Music Education (07:700:382), Methods and Materials in Instrumental Music Education (07:700:384) or Clinical Practice I (07:700:483).*

3 credits

* This course can be taken only if student is also registered for one of the following courses: 07:700:210, 07:700:381, 07:700:382, or 07:700:384.
