Opera Institute at Rutgers prepares students for the world of professional opera. Each year the school mounts a full opera production. Past productions include The Magic Flute, The Merry Wives of Windsor and The Marriage of Figaro. Opera Workshop performs fully staged scenes programs. The Opera Institute at Rutgers hosts outreach programs and master classes with renowned artists.
Valorie Goodall founded Opera at Rutgers in the 1980s. Pamela Gilmore now produces the series.
Rehearsals: 6:40-10 p.m. Tuesdays and 4:30-6:30 p.m. Fridays.
