Theater (BA)

theater baThe Theater major is offered for students who are enrolled in the Rutgers School of Arts & Sciences with certification through the Mason Gross School of the Arts. The major is designed to provide students with a strong foundation of the history and craftsmanship involved in professional Theater. Students take classes in academic theater, physical production, performance, electives as well as an internship and/or project work. Each student’s curriculum is further tailored to provide focus in particular areas including performance, direction, writing, administration or design.

More than 50% of all Theater majors in SAS double-major with other subjects in the  university. (English, Communication, Journalism, Media Studies are examples of popular second majors.) Read about requirements here and for more information on the Theater Major in SAS please visit their website:
