Fall 2025: Meet our new faculty

Fall 2025: Meet our new faculty

Christina Bouey, Music

“I I look forward to having meaningful discussions and musical sessions with students that will enable them to think outside the box and prepare them for a life outside of school.” Bouey is assistant professor of violin.

Kevin Farrell, Music

“With compassion, empathy, and curiosity, we as composers have the opportunity to tell our own stories as well as amplify the stories of those around us.” Farrell is an assistant professor of composition in Commercial Music.

Mark Thomas Gibson, Art & Design

I believe now more than ever the role of an artist in society is a necessary and crucial element in forming our future. My role is to help students develop their ability to paint thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, fears in a way that can transcend other forms of communication.” Gibson is an assistant professor of painting.

Saleel Menon, Music

“I work with students to imagine what music education can be when every voice is heard, literally and figuratively. Together, we explore the traditions we inherit, question the practices we take for granted, and create space for new ways of teaching and learning.” Menon is an assistant professor of choral music education.

Eli Pauley, Theater

I’m interested in and excited by theater where something is happening in the room, energetically, not just inside of the actor. In a world of Zoom boxes, this is what the communal arena of the theater has to offer us if we dare to step outside of our own bubbles.” Pauley is an assistant professor of acting.

Lauren Ryals, Music

“I strive to nurture reflective, resilient, and musically engaged students who feel seen, valued, and empowered.” Ryals is a director of clinical experience and practice and an assistant professor in music education.

Tom Watson, Theater

“The most incredible thing about learning to make things with your hands is how everything is interconnected and how skills compound. Each new tool and material inspires new creative thoughts. I am excited to see how students discover what they are capable of creating.”  Watson is an assistant professor, head of Technical Direction, and production manager.
