Art & Design events are free and open to the public. Mason Gross Galleries are open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays and Fridays, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours may vary on school holidays and during winter and summer break.
Songs of Trevor Weston and Ignatius Sancho: A Premiere Performance and Discussion
Soprano Sonya Headlam (right) and historical keyboardist Rebecca Cypess present a world-premiere performance of songs by Trevor Weston based on the letters of the Black British writer and composer Ignatius Sancho (ca. 1729–1780). The concert will be followed by a discussion with the performers and the composer, moderated by Michelle Stephens, executive director of the Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice at Rutgers University.
