NJDAC: Digital Audio Concert

The 2022 NJDAC concert includes music for fixed media, instruments, live electronic processing, and video. Featured guest artist Noa Even https://www.noaevenmusic.com/ (Rowan University) will be performing works for saxophone, interactive electronics, and video by LJ White and Emily Koh from her atomic series. At a time when our society is particularly fragmented and politically polarized, Even explores the value of human connection. She believes that finding or cultivating common ground with individuals from diverse backgrounds leads us toward greater awareness, understanding, and compassion. This idea sparked atomic, a long-term commissioning project of multimedia works for solo saxophone, interactive electronics and video, premiered in 2019. In close collaboration with Even, the artists involved tackle various topics relating to human connection.

Additionally, NJDAC will include computer-based music composed and performed by Rutgers students Missy Alvarez, Gerard Chuisano, Timothy Hanley, Ethan Isaac, Claire Oplinger, Aaron Vaders Collins, and Carle Wirshba, and faculty Aurie Hsu and Steven Kemper. NJDAC is presented by Music Technology at Mason Gross (MTMG).
