Kimberlee Gerstheimer is a Part-Time Lecturer and MFA in Dance student at Rutgers University. She received a BA in Dance (Hofstra University) and a Masters in Social Work (Adelphi University). Kimberlee was an individual and group counselor for four years, working with individuals dealing with anxiety and depression. She has 20 years of experience choreographing and teaching modern, contemporary, ballet, and jazz courses. Kimberlee is also a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor. She incorporates her background to create holistic educational and choreographic environments that infuse dancers with personal agency, skills, growth strategies and connections to their peers. Movement education is Kimberlee’s passion as she believes that the most incredible aspect of teaching and choreography is the ability to inspire her students and dancers, regardless of where they are in their journey. She looks to create an environment where movers can grow and feel empowered through movement. Kimberlee is proud to be supported and inspired by her husband and two sons, Elias and Damien.
