Biography

Joseph Pinto has been teaching clarinet professionally for 15 years. His students demonstrate a 90% success rate in auditions for regional wind ensembles and orchestras. He has instructed students at music festivals in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including the Wyoming Seminary Performing Arts Institute. An active freelance musician in New York and New Jersey, Joseph has performed many times in Carnegie Hall with professional symphonies.While receiving his degrees, Joseph performed as principal clarinetist of the Rutgers University Symphony and Wind ensemble. He studied under Dr. George Jones, Andrew Lamy, Dr. Maureen Hurd, and William Stokking. He has performed in numerous master classes with clarinetists including Charles Neidich, Aude Richard, and David Shifrin.
