Biography

Zimmerman is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist whose work combines sculpture and digital media. Her work has been exhibited at Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, MO; Bemis Center For Contemporary Arts, NE; Westbeth Gallery, NY; Granite City Art and Design District, IL; Ki Smith Gallery, NY; The Luminary, MO; among others. She has attended residencies at Atlantic Center for the Arts, Vermont Studio Center, Arteles Creative Center, and Paul Artspace and is the recipient of a Creative Stimulus Award from Critical Mass for the Visual Arts and an Artist Support Grant from St. Louis’ Regional Arts Commission. She received her MFA in art and design from Rutgers University and her BFA in digital media and photography from Washington University in St. Louis. She is currently the Digital Studio Fellow in the Studio Arts program at Bard College.
