Glen Bingham is a second-generation piano technician with more than 25 years of experience. Bingham is the former Chief Piano Technician for Steinway & Sons Music Technology division and was critical in the development and launch of Steinway’s high-resolution player piano, SPIRIO. Bingham produced Steinway SPIRIO’s global training program and personally taught hundreds of piano technicians around the world.

In 2023, Bingham launched Center for Piano Technology in Newark, NJ, a piano technology trade school for beginner and professional piano tuners. With a curriculum focused on hands-on experience, CPT students benefited from one-on-one learning with professional mentors.

As Piano Technician & Technical Supervisor for Keyboards at Mason Gross, Bingham is responsible for the tuning and maintenance of the school’s pianos, harpsichords, and portative organ. Bingham continues to mentor aspiring piano tuners at Mason Gross.

Bingham is an active singer/songwriter and was a founding member of the indie rock band Plastic East (2001-2006).
