About the Mason Gross Extension Division

Our mission is to provide life-changing, educational opportunities in the arts to participants of all ages, and to build community through the arts.


Tara Buzash is a pianist, composer, educator, and businesswoman who thrives on hard work, who loves what she does, and who has a long list of accomplishments to demonstrate a standard of excellence in all areas of her work. Buzash is driven by her desire to serve as well as to lead, and to connect in a meaningful way with those around her.

    May 2011 — Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Emerging Artist award winner,The Kennedy Center, Washington, DC. Chosen as one of eight young female jazz pianists from around the world to perform on the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage.
    2010-present — Watchfire Music Composer, New York, NY. Contracted to sell original piano/vocal arrangements of inspirational songs. 
    2010-2011 — Pee Wee Russell Jazz Scholarship recipient, Rutgers University

Public invited to observe free Young Artist Program Forums

The Extension Division welcomes the public to observe a lineup of workshops and master classes this year, which includes international teaching artists and Mason Gross faculty. The Young Artist Program Forums are free and open to the public—no tickets are required.

Mason Gross Extension Division winter/spring open house, December 6

The Mason Gross Extension Division will hold a winter/spring open house on Saturday, December 6, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Douglass Campus in New Brunswick.

Paul Conrad received a Bachelor of Music from Mason Gross School of the Arts, where he studied piano with Paul Hoffmann. He is in high demand as an accompanist for both soloists and ensembles, and is currently accompanist for the Rutgers University Glee Club and Voorhees Choir.
