Rutgers Youth Jazz Ensemble auditions Thursday, Oct. 27

Rutgers Youth Jazz Ensemble Auditions are set for Thursday, October 27.

This elite group is open to serious high school musicians. The group, under the direction of Dave Miller and the esteemed Mason Gross jazz faculty, meets 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, November to May, to build a solid foundation for jazz performance in both small- and large-group settings.

Join conservatory faculty at Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16,  for a workshop with our fall 2011 guest artist from the United Kingdom, Jacqueline Smith-Autard.

Registration for adult music and visual arts classes open through Sept. 6

Space is available in a variety of music and visual arts group classes and private lessons offered to adults through the Mason Gross Extension Division. Online registration for the fall semester closes Tuesday, Sept. 6; classes begin Monday, Sept. 12 and run through Saturday, Jan. 14.
