Aug. 2 FREE American Ballet Theatre lecture/performance

Join Mason Gross School of the Arts and American Ballet Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theater, as they present a lecture/performance titled The Art of Partnering.

Raymond Lukens, director of American Ballet Theatre's National Training Curriculum, will explore the history and fundamentals of partnering, including how dancers execute balances, turns and lifts, with ABT studio company dancers Katherine Hurlin and Alex Kramer. The evening will culminate in a performance of the pas de deux from Flames of Paris.

Beginning in September 2012, American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School satellite training program for students ages 4 to 9+ will be offered through the Mason Gross Extension Division.
