"Participating in the Lila Flow YTT gave me the opportunity to explore at a more in-depth level a practice that has become such a large part of my life. Going through the training, you become aware of just how vast the world of yoga is, whether studying the historical roots, mythology, Sanskrit, body/mind awareness, ayurveda, chakras,…. You will learn an incredible amount of knowledge and leave feeling energized to continue to seek out more. Having completed my first YTT training, not only can I continue to develop my personal practice and study, Lila Flow has given me the skills to share this knowledge with others, allowing me to get off my island, get out of my head, and make connections with others through teaching the benefits of yoga."

The Dance Department of Mason Gross School of the Arts, in cooperation with Rutgers Recreation Services, and Rutgers Community Arts, is now offering 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Registered Teacher Training and Certification via the Lila Flow Yoga.

Lila Flow 200-hr vinyasa yoga teacher training is an immersive program designed to elicit knowledgeable, inspired and compassionate yoga teachers. We provide the tools to create intelligent and anatomically driven classes, and encourage you to develop your individual style through playfulness and creativity. We have students creating and teaching from day one, so by the end of the training you are prepared to step into the seat of the Teacher with confidence and grace. Our curriculum builds sequentially to support your growth, while challenging you to embody the philosophy of yoga in your daily life, both on and off the mat.

Built into the training is the opportunity to continue your studies with Lila Flow Yoga. We have a Mentorship Circle, lifetime free enrollment in The Authentic Teacher, an opportunity to co-teach in Love Surf Yoga retreats, and assist during future Lila FLow YTTs.

Commonly asked questions:
Do I have to be able to do all the poses to be an instructor?
No - you do not need to be able to do a pose to be able to teach it.
What if I don't want to teach?
Yoga Teacher Training is an opportunity to deepen your practice and broaden your understanding of yoga. It is a transformational experience for all regardless of your intention.
Will I be prepared to teach after the certification?
We will focus heavily on sequencing safe classes and practice teaching so that everyone who graduates will be able to teach a safe and well-sequenced Vinyasa yoga class.
What if I fail my practical or written exam?
We will provide you with feedback and you will retake the exam at a later date after the training has completed.
What if I have a conflict with the dates?

Attendance every day is mandatory for graduation. If you do have a conflict, please let contact us and we will let you know if it is something we can work around. The hours will have to be made up and you will need to complete an additional assignment
