Donna R. Brown

Donna Brown is a multimedia artist whose mediums include photography, printmaking, papermaking, and video/performance art. She has taught numerous workshops and classes at colleges, high schools, private schools for children with special needs such as autism, and collaborative projects with South African artists. Her work is in private collections throughout the United States, Australia, and South Africa. Brown’s art-related professional experience includes work as an archivist, preparator, collaborator, teacher, and curator. Her current body of work, with a working title of “You’re Too Old to Be Transient,” is a documentation of a year of her life (September 2012 to September 2013), as she traveled back and forth across the United States twice by car and twice by plane. Brown received an associate’s degree from Brookdale Community College, a bachelor’s degree from Douglass College, and a master’s degree from California Institute of the Arts. Her degrees are in visual arts with a minor in art history.
