How to Apply

 
 

The Filmmaking program here at Mason Gross School of the Arts offers Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees to incoming first year, transfer, and current Rutgers students.

To apply, applicants must first complete the Rutgers University application. Five business days after submitting the university application, applicants will be emailed the link to submit their filmmaking portfolio. To review the deadlines to apply, click here.

 First Year BFA Applicant Checklist:
  $70 Rutgers application fee
  GED Results (for those that earned a GED)
  SAT or ACT scores – use school code 2765 for the SAT and 2592 for the ACT
  Submit your filmmaking portfolio online, January 15th– the link is emailed to applicants after the university application is submitted.
File FASFA by December 1 (domestic students only) - although not required, we strongly encourage all students to file a FASFA by the priority deadline of December 1

 Transfer BFA Applicant Checklist:

 Current/Former Rutgers Student BFA Applicant Checklist:
Email admissions@mgsa.rutgers.edu with your intention to apply to the BFA Filmmaking program by February 1, 2020 for a Fall 2020 start. You will be sent a link to submit your required portfolio.
