Grace Heeeun Lim

Grace Heeeun Lim began her classical music training at the age of four. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degree in performance from Manhattan School of Music (MSM) where she was under the tutelage of Daniel Avshalomov and Isaac Malkin. While attending MSM, she was a recipient of Dean's List and scholarship. Ms. Lim is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Musical Arts at Rutgers University.
As an active performing artist, she has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player at major venues such as Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Merkin Concert Hall, Concert Hall at Seoul Arts Center, Coex Convention and Exhibition Center. Ms. Lim also has broad performing experiences with the professional orchestras throughout the United States and South Korea. She has won top prizes at numerous competitions, including Korean-German Brahms Competition, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra Competition, Hanmi National Competition, Sungjung National Competition, and others.
As a versatile music instructor, she incorporates both Suzuki and traditional methodology to students, ensuring the development of good rhythm, intonation and beautiful tone. She teaches Violin and Viola at Rutgers Preparatory School and is a faculty member at Monmouth Conservatory of Music.
