David Schneck

Performance Experience
David Schneck played for six years as a summer augment at the  Concord Hotel backing up many big name acts, and playing lead when the regular lead player took off.  Broadway experience includes Work with Jennifer Holliday in "YOUR ARMS TOO SHORT TO BOX WITH GOD"  as lead trumpet, lead trumpet on recordings of 'SO LONG 174TH STREET' AND "COME FLY WITH ME", (Rogers and Hart's first musical). David is currently principal trumpet in the Westchester Symphony Orchestra.  Other positions held include principal trumpet with the Greenwich Philharmonic,  Westchester  Philharmonic, Brunswick Symphony, Princeton Ballet, Opera Ensemble of New York.  Other experience includes Bolshoi Ballet, both at Lincoln Center and National Tour,  Jesus Christ Superstar tour, Chorus Line tour, and the Paris Opera, Berlin Ballet, Royal Ballet, Canadian Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet, Australian Ballet, all at Lincoln Center,  Moscow Radio Symphony, extra work with the NY Philharmonic  Metropolitan Opera.  TV experience includes "BIG SHOW IN EL MADISON" for Spanish International Network featuring Celia Cruz,  "OTI International Song Contest" (both with full orchestra to 26 Spanish speaking countries, all live, and Principal  trumpet on PBS taping of Gian Carlo Menotti's "The Consul" and in Italy, the RAI taping of Nino Rota's last opera "Napoli Millionaria". Featured soloist on Summit Records “Hora Decima Brass” along with players from the NY Philharmonic, as well as the top players from the Tri-State area.  Performances with Frank Patterson, The Irish Tenors, “Distant Worlds” video game concerts.  Will be appearing with David Amram at the Cornelius Street Cafe.  
Teaching Experience
Mr. Schneck helped to develop an innovating teaching program at Starrett city in Brooklyn, NY twenty-five years ago.  Mr. Schneck remains active working with this program to place professional musicians in schools to teach students during after school hours. Students from this program have appeared on the Chris Rock show.  Mr. Schneck's students in NJ have regularly made regionals, All-State, as well as the Governors School. Mr. Schneck has taught at the Riverdale Music School, Mid-Westchester YMHA Music School, and the East Harlem Music School.  He has conducted numerous trumpet workshops in New Jersey schools, as well as a workshop for the University of Vermont in Burlington.
