Portfolio events

Open Portfolio: Anyone who has registered for the conference is invited to show their work in the Open Portfolio session on Thursday evening, March 18th. The order in which people show will be in the order they register, not alphabetical. We will open the session to the public and encourage local collectors and curators to attend. For your convenience in carrying your work on Thursday, there will be limited secure storage for portfolios between 1:00PM and 11:00PM in the Hyatt Hotel. Remember to check off Open Portfolio on the attached registration form.

Exchange Portfolio: Regular and student members attending the conference are eligible to participate in the annual exchange. As in the past, we ask all participating artists to respond to the theme 3D: Diversity, Discourse, Dimension. Please do not submit prints unrelated to the conference theme.

This year the Amity Art Foundation will again sponsor this portfolio project. Because of the Amity Foundation's generous support, there will be no participation fee. You must indicate your participation in the portfolio on the registration form.

Portfolio editions must consist of thirteen impressions, numbered 1/13 to 13/13, using any archival material in a 9"x12" format. The portfolios must be slip-sheeted; please use archival, non-staining, non-rubbing inks and materials. No prints may be thicker than 1/16". Editions that do not conform to these guidelines may be excluded at the discretion of the Portfolio Coordinator.

Ten of the prints will be redistributed to participants in a random selection process. The remaining three prints from each edition will be retained as complete sets for the SGC Archive at the University of Mississippi, for the Rutgers Conference Committee and for the Amity Foundation.

Editions must be dropped off in person during conference registration 3-9PM Wednesday, March 17th or on Thursday 8-noon only. The completed portfolio will be exhibited Friday in Room 117 at Mason Gross from 9AM-4PM. Participants will receive a receipt that will be needed to claim their collated portfolio early Friday evening.
