Richard Dresser

Playwriting

Richard Dresser’s plays are widely produced in New York City, regional theater, and Europe. They include Rounding Third, Below the Belt, Augusta, The Pursuit of Happiness, Gun-Shy, The Downside, Alone at the Beach, Wonderful World, and Better Days. He wrote the book for the Broadway musical Good Vibrations and Johnny Baseball, which premiered at A.R.T. in Cambridge. He wrote the screenplay for Human Error, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. His most recent plays are The Last Days of Mickey & Jean (about Whitey Bulger) and The Hand of God (about reality TV). He also writes for film and television.
