Theater Arts Bachelor of Fine Arts Production

The Program

The B.F.A. Production and Management Specialties Program is for those students who have a serious interest in the areas of stage management, technical direction, properties, costume technology or theater management.  The program prepares you for a career as a professional stage manager, technical director, costume cutter or draper.  A four-year, full-time residency is required for all programs.

Production Interview Requirements

  • We strongly encourage you to submit your application to Rutgers University prior to scheduling an interview.  After you do so, you will receive a letter from the Theater Arts Department with information on how to schedule your interview.
  • Resume
  • $50.00 non-refundable talent assessment fee.  (This fee is in addition to the university’s standard application fee.)
  • Interview Material:  Applicants should bring materials representative of your background and interest in theater, such as prompt books, photographs of crafts, shows or construction projects, drafting etc.

Interview Dates

There is a $50.00 non-refundable talent assessment fee made payable by check, cash or money orderPayments should be made to Rutgers University.   (This fee is in addition to the university’s standard application fee and is due no later than the time of the appointment.)
