Mason Gross Takes Manhattan

In 2001, under a mandate from Dean George B. Stauffer, Mason
Gross School of the Arts began planning a new performance series
called Rutgers In New York. Dean Stauffer’s vision was
to add to the educational experience of Mason Gross students
by providing them with professional exposure to the arts Mecca
of the world, New York City. Every year, the performance series
takes one of the school’s four disciplines to Manhattan,
located just 40 miles north of the Mason Gross School, for a
gala performance or exhibition.
