There are three ways to register:

Programs run throughout the year in fall, spring, and summer semesters. The fall and spring semesters are 15 weeks for music and dance and 12 weeks for visual arts. In the summer we offer a flexible 10-week summer semester for private music instruction and a wide variety of summer camps and institutes.

New-student enrollment for private music instruction

The Extension Division offers rolling enrollment for all semesters. Private instruction is prorated from the first scheduled lesson. No auditions are required for private instruction, but submission of a Private Lesson Form or an interview (over the phone or in person) with Extension Division staff allows for proper student/teacher placement. Lesson times for new students are arranged by the office staff, based on instructor availability.

Waiting list

If a course is full, students will be placed on a waiting list and contacted as soon as space becomes available.

Financial Aid

  • Limited financial aid is available. Awarded based upon financial need and merit.
  • Financial Aid applications are available on our website.
  • Financial aid applications for Fall 2012 semester must be submitted by September 1, 2012. Following September 1, 2012, applications for financial aid will be considered on a rolling basis according to strength of the application and funds available.
  • Financial Aid applications for Spring 2013 semester must be submitted by January 8, 2013. Following January 8, 2013, applications for financial aid will be considered on a rolling basis according to strength of the application and funds available.

All Financial Aid submissions must follow the submission of the following materials:

  • Completed financial aid application
  • 2011 Federal Tax Form
  • Scholarship statement
