Rutgers Woodwind Day 2011 to take place Sunday, Jan. 23

A variety of workshops, master classes and concerts will be offered on Sunday, Jan. 23, as part of Rutgers Woodwind Day 2011. 

Rutgers Woodwind Day 2011 will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Marryott Music Building and Nicholas Music Center on Douglass Campus in New Brunswick. The event is open to all ages and abilities--professionals, amateurs, students, teachers, parents and music directors. Instruments and accessories are for sale all day.

The hosts for the event are Mason Gross faculty members Bart Feller and Kaoru Hinata on flute, Maureen Hurd on clarinet, Angela Anderson Smith on bassoon and Paul Cohen on saxophone. A repair technician will be available all day as well.

The schedule is as follows:
10 a.m.: Registration
10:30 a.m.: Introduction to Mason Gross faculty and guests
10:45 a.m.: Faculty concert
11:45 a.m.: Individual instrument master classes taught by Mason Gross faculty
1 p.m.: Clinic on successful auditioning taught by Mason Gross faculty
1:30 p.m.: Open time to visit vendors and repair technician
