TRAINING

The classical guitar program at Mason Gross endeavors to create a supportive, collaborative environment for guitarists to pursue state-of-the-art music making.
 
Classical guitar studies at Mason Gross features weekly private lesson instruction, chamber music coaching, and performance seminar.  Visiting artist seminars and master classes provide students with unique insight into technique, interpretation, concert program development, trends within the international guitar scene, and career development.
 
A limited number of teaching internships are available via the Mason Gross Extension Division's Guitar Program.

FACULTY & STAFF

Faculty includes Program Director Christopher Kenniff, director of the Extension Division, and Jorge Caballero, who is the youngest musician and the only guitarist to win the Walter W. Naumburg International Competition Award, one of the most prestigious and coveted awards given to performers of any instrument. Visit Jorge's website for more information.
