Hilary Jones

Class Instructor - Adult Chamber Music Program

Flutist Hilary Jones is an active orchestral and chamber musician and teacher based in the Greater New York City area.  She has performed with the New Jersey Symphony, Symphony in C, National Festival Orchestra, and Manhattan Symphonie in venues such as Lincoln Center and Symphony Space.  As a chamber musician, Hilary is a member of the contemporary flute and oboe duo FloBot and has been a guest performer at Princeton University among others. She attended The Boston Conservatory, New York University, and Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts, where she is in the final stages of her Doctor of Musical Arts degree. Hilary also completed additional summer studies at the Accademia Musical Chigiana with Patrick Gallois. As a teacher, she held an adjunct flute teaching position at New York University, coached chamber music at Rutgers University, and held a teaching assistant position in the musicology department there.  Hilary currently maintains a private teaching studio, coaches chamber music through the Mason Gross School of the Arts Extension Division, and is a teaching artist with the Paterson Music Project.
