Maeve Dougal

Director of Ballet

Maeve Dougal holds a MA in Dance Education/ABT Ballet Pedagogy from New York University and a BFA in Dance with a Ballet Emphasis from Utah Valley University. She received her early ballet training at The School of Oregon Ballet Theatre under Damara Bennett and danced with Utah Regional Ballet under Jacqueline P. Colledge and Heather Gray. Dougal is an ABT® Affiliate Teacher who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 and Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She is currently on faculty at the Huntington Center for Performing Arts and previously served on faculty for The Bridge for Dance in Manhattan and ABT’s DanceBermuda Summer Intensive. In addition to teaching, Dougal recently held a position as executive assistant for Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP). She has completed administrative internships with The George Balanchine Trust and the New York Choreographic Institute at New York City Ballet, and with American Ballet Theatre’s second company, ABT II.

    Presented 20+ students for ABT-NTC ® Affiliate Examinations in levels Primary A – 3A.
    Experience teaching Pre-Primary through Level 5 (ages 3 – 18).
    Choreographed and staged excerpts from classical ballets for school showings and performances.
    Coached students privately for college admissions and summer intensive applications.
