Drop-in Days at the Mason Gross Extension Division


You are invited to Mason Gross Extension Division’s Drop-in Days, 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Spring 2019: Saturdays, January 26, February 16, and March 23

How do I participate in a Drop-in Day?

RSVP or just ‘Drop-in!’ (as the name of the event suggests is possible!)

What is a Drop-in Day?
Drop-in Days allow prospective students to observe any of our ongoing classes, private lessons or ensembles. This is a great way to observe particular instructors or programs ‘in action’ before registering or scheduling a trial lesson. 

What activities are included?
Classes, private lessons, ensemble rehearsals, and special events are all open to prospective students and their families to visit.  Please see below for a list of classes, ensembles & lesson of available during the next Drop-in Day.

What if I want to register for a class following a drop in?
As always, you can register online here.

What classes, ensembles and/or lessons are available on a particular Drop-in Saturday? 
Private music instruction in most instruments and voice; Young Artist Program (chamber music ensembles for students ages 9-18); early childhood music classes (Music Together; Young Maestros; Music Mind Games); music theory classes; ART-haus Academy classes (visual arts, ages 7-18); American Ballet Theatre Certified School Ballet School classes (ages 4-18); special events (depending on schedule).

What about parking?
For Art classes in the Civic Square Building, please park on the street (Livingston Ave or New Street).

Mason Gross Extension Division visitors to classes on Douglass campus (music, dance, and filmmaking) on Saturday, September 22, 2018, may park in Lots 79, 79A & Douglass Deck without permits only after they have used this link to register their vehicle for parking. Until this process is completed, vehicles are not registered and you may receive a citation.
  • Special event parking and special event permits are only for visitors to the University which does not include free metered parking. Faculty, Staff, and Students must park only in lots they are authorized to park in.
  • Please find parking lots on this campus map.
  • Please park ‘nose-in/front-of-car-first’ to avoid a ticket.
