Jenna M. Kiefer

Jenna M. Kiefer, Ed.M., graduated in the first-ever dance cohort from Rutgers University with her Ed.M. in Dance Education and received her PK-12 New Jersey Teaching Certification. At Rutgers, Jenna was a repertory teacher and workshop presenter for the Rutgers Dance Camp and has also presented on the importance of Assessment in Dance to NJ dance educators. She was a teaching assistant for Rutgers undergraduate courses—“Dance Appreciation” and “The History of Dance on Broadway”—teaching over 2,000 students, and has consulted in curriculum design and assessment for the Mason Gross School of the Arts BFA dance program. In fall of 2011, Jenna presented on a panel for NDEO Conference in Minnesota, and in March 2012 presented at the New Jersey AHPERD convention. Jenna was a company dancer with Alight Dance Theatre, Greenbelt, MD, and has had the opportunity to collaborate with Tzveta Kassabova, Mary Seidman, Monica Bill Barnes and Sharon Mansur. A 2009 graduate of the University of Maryland, Jenna received her B.A. in dance and psychology.

Jenna is currently teaching dance in the arts academy at William Allen High School in Allentown, PA.  She is also the Guest Services Coordinator for the ArtsQuest Center at Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, PA and the Day of Sales Manager for the SILVERDOCS AFI/Discovery Channel Documentary Festival.
