Kelli McGovern

Kelli McGovern is from Berkeley Heights, NJ. In May 2012, she became one of the first graduates to complete the dual degree program at Rutgers University, where she obtained her bachelor of fine arts in dance performance, from Mason Gross School of the Arts, and her master of education degree in dance education, from the Graduate School of Education in the span of five years. While at Mason Gross, Kelli had the opportunity to work with choreographers Randy James, Jeff Friedman, John Evans, and performed the repertory work of Merce Cunningham at The Joyce Theater. In addition to the Cunningham technique, Kelli has studied the techniques of Lester Horton, Jose Limon, and Alwin Nikolais at Rutgers. She has presented workshops at educational conferences such as NJAPHERD, and served on various panels throughout her involvement in the EdM. Outside of Rutgers, her choreography has been shown at the Crossroads Theater in New Brunswick, NJ and she has been a dancer with Zaman Dance Theater Collective since 2011.
