Deanna Tomasso-Addeo

Dance Science and Wellness

Deanna Tomasso-Addeo has been practicing bodywork and instructing movement classes for more than 20 years. She received her bachelor of fine arts in dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts. Tomasso-Addeo studied at the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in New York City and is a certified movement analyst (CMA). She is a licensed physical therapist assistant and licensed massage therapist in New Jersey. Tomasso-Addeo has taught Kinesiology for Dancers, as well as Injury Prevention for the dance department of Mason Gross. Additional teaching engagements include instruction of contemporary dance, Tai Chi, and senior fitness with diverse populations at regional community art and wellness centers.

As a dancer, Tomasso-Addeo performed many years with Mark Jarecke Dance and Elizabeth Higgins Dance Theater, both in New York City and as the choreographer has presented their work in various regional venues. Tomasso-Addeo is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the International Association of Dance Medicine.
