Dance
Undergraduate
Academic
Programs
The program assumes that to be professional dance artists,
students must be articulate about aesthetic values and
knowledgeable about the demands and needs of a professional
career in dance. Theoretical work begins with a study
of contemporary issues in dance and continues with music
for dance, dance production, notation, kinesiology,
and dance history. Dance electives and opportunities
for independent study ensure that each student's professional
artistic aspirations will be supported.
