Members of the Department of Dance faculty bring to their teaching impressive credentials as choreographers, dancers, and scholars.

Faculty choreography and performance have appeared in important venues throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Faculty show their work and perform regularly in New York City, nationally and internationally. Many have worked in the dance companies of Paul Taylor, David Parsons, Jose Limon, Doug Varone, Merion Soto, and Bebe Miller as well as for The Pittsburgh Dance Alloy and Ballet Hispanico.

Guest artists-in-residence have included Nancy Bannon, Laura Glenn, Janet Lilly, David Grenke, Maia Claire Garrison, Marc Kenison, Nai-Ni Chen, Carlos Fittante, Wallie Wolfgruber among others.
