DancePlus Spring set for April 20-29

Student dancers will take the stage in DancePlus Spring, running Friday, April 20 through Sunday, April 29, at the Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theater.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for the general public, $20 for Rutgers alumni, employees and seniors, $15 for students. More information is available by calling 732-932-7511.

Repertory by Inbal Pinto, Artistic Director of Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollack Dance Company from Israel

Presence of Rhythm by Robert Benford & Jay T. Jenkins
A new work with 12 performers and 4 musicians.  This work incorporates
contemporary dance styles, body percussion and live music

The Flesh is the Stage by Julia Ritter
Choreographer Julia Ritter continues her investigation into the question "why do you dance?" with a new installment that reaches into unknown territories and beyond the footlights of the stage to explore corporeal identities with the audience, whose involvement is valued as active rather than passive.

breath is the voice of your soul by John Evans
A new work for 10 dancers and 4 musicians where boundaries between dancers and musicians are investigated and explored.

A new work by faculty member Keith A. Thompson with the BFA freshman class and a new work for nine dancers by faculty member Randy James.
