Young Artist Program members achieve honors

Congratulations, Jennifer Liu! Winner of Project Impact’s Young Artist Competition.

Jennifer won the highest category in the Young Artist Competition, the Young Virtuoso, this past Sunday, October 20, 2013. Jennifer will be performing a solo Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Nicholas Music Center. To learn more about the competition, visit Project Impact’s website.

In other news, two members of the Young Artist Program, cellists Ethan Liaw and Patrick Kim have been selected to perform this Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Superior Court of New Jersey in Ocean County.  They will be performing in a double quartet of the Bravura Youth Orchestra Ensemble, the partner youth orchestra of the Mason Gross Extension Division. The performance at the Superior Court of NJ in Ocean County (Toms River) is for its annual International Celebration.

The Young Artist Program provides comprehensive and intensive musical training for dedicated precollege instrumentalists, vocalists and composers ages 9-18 (singers ages 14-20). Weekly chamber music, musicianship training (music theory, solfege, music history) and performance forums educate, motivate, and inspire excellence and artistry at every level.
