Visiting Filmmaker Series: The Deep End (2001)

10 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018
A woman (Tilda Swinton) is cornered into covering up an accidental death when her eldest son’s lover washes up on the beachfront in front of their house. When she does the only thing an unflinchingly devoted mother could—hiding the body to protect her son—a riveting cat-and-mouse game soon turns into a haunting love story with self-sacrifice at its center. Directors Scott McGehee and David Siegel will appear for a post-screening Q&A.
