Nov. 17: Native American sand painting workshop for children and teens

Children and teens in grades three through eight are invited to participate in a FREE Native American Sand Painting workshop 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Henry Guest House of the New Brunswick Free Public Library. The visual arts workshop is presented by the Mason Gross Extension Division in partnership with the Greater Brunswick Charter School and the New Brunswick Free Public Library.

The young artists will design a Native American-style mandala out of sand, leaves and other natural materials. Personal designs will be joined to make a single image at the conclusion of the workshop.
