NJDAC: Digital Audio Concert

NJDAC features performances of computer-based music by Rutgers faculty, including Aurie Hsu, Steven Kemper, and Mark Zaki (Rutgers Camden), and students Tom Nazziola, Marissa Hickman, John Stapleton, Leila Bishop, D. Turner Matthews, Sameer Ramchandran, Jake Schlaerth, and Jack Impink.
These works include computer-generated music for loudspeakers and for video, pieces that highlight interaction between acoustic instruments and computers, glass armonica, and live interactive visuals using MS Paint. Additionally, the concert will feature students from Professor Kemper’s Aresty-Byrne seminar “Hacking Sound: A Hands-On Introduction to Electronic Music” performing on hand-built electronic instruments.
