Emily Gibson

Soprano Emily Gibson is in demand across the tri-state area as a performer and teacher.  Gibson has sung leading roles with Oswego Opera, Center Stage Opera, The Opera Project, Princeton Opera, Syracuse University, and Rutgers University.  Notable roles include Mimi (La Bohème), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Yum-Yum (The Mikado), Frasquita (Carmen), Second Woman (Dido & Aeneas), and La Suora Zelatrice (Suor Angelica).  Concert appearances include Mozart’s Grand Mass in C Minor, Mozart’s Requiem, and Handel’sMessiah and Dixit Dominus

In addition to appearing on the operatic and classical stage, Ms. Gibson also performs in musicals.  Roles include Rapunzel and The Witch in Into the Woods, Elsa Schraeder and Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, and Belle in A Christmas Carol.  She has sung for Vice-President Joe Biden and conductor James Conlon. Emily’s students regularly perform leading roles in musicals across the region and gain acceptance into notable music institutions. Ms. Gibson graduated from Syracuse University with an MM in Vocal Performance, and received her BM from Rutgers University.
