Documentary team travels to Alabama

Mason Gross Visual Arts student Stephanie Wong and School of Arts and Sciences undergraduates Sean Feuer and Jamie Deradorian-Delia are producing a film for the National Science Foundation in the forests of Alabama. The documentary team is part of the Rutgers Film Bureau at the Rutgers Center for Digital Filmmaking.

Their story follows Ann Marie Carlton, an atmospheric chemist and assistant professor at Rutgers' School of Environmental and Biological Sciences who is using airplanes and weather balloons to study a region in the southeast United States where temperatures have not been rising as in other parts of the country in response to global climate change.

The students have already started shooting footage for the film, which will be completed in time for the New Lens Student Film Festival next May.
