Bassoonapaloosa! June 15, 2013

What: Bassoonapaloosa is a day-long bassoon workshop created to provide the skills needed for successful bassoon playing (solo and ensemble) for students at all levels of advancement. Students will discover and develop musical skills through participation in coaching sessions, master classes, and workshops. The art of making bassoon reeds and fundamental concepts of reed adjustment will be explored in workshop format with Christopher Wickham, owner of CW Reeds. Bassoonapaloosa culminates in a performance featuring participants and over 20 bassoons in a bassoon choir.

When: June 15, 2013, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Where: Nicholas Music Center, 85 George Street, at Route 18, Douglass Campus. Park in lots 74, 79 or 79a

Who should attend? Precollege and adult bassoonists at all levels of advancement.

Cost: $30 per person.
