Ahston Waldron

Ashton Waldron, a native from Bristol, VA, received her BA in Dance Education at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. While studying there, she performed in pieces choreographed by Amy Marshall, Christian Von Howard, Stephanie Milling, Stacy Garrett McConnell, and Meg Schriffen. She also had the fortunate opportunity to study at American Dance Festival for two summers under teachers including Mark Haim, Ming Yang, Abby Yager, Ursala Payne, John Jasperse, and Ruth Andrien. After completing her undergraduate degree, Ashton moved to New York City and performed in pieces choreographed by Everett Johnson and Francesca Marinaro and then participated in the Bill T. Jones/ Arnie Zane Dance intensive one summer. During that time, she also became a teaching assistant at the Mark Morris Dance Center. Currently she is pursuing her masters of fine arts degree in dance at Rutgers University. With this degree, she hopes to become a dance professor at a university one day.
