February 9: status of Mason Gross events

Please note that the Mason Gross Galleries will be closed and all Extension Division classes, lessons, and ensembles will be canceled on Thursday, February 9, due to inclement weather. The gallery will reopen Friday, February 10 at 10 a.m. and classes will resume on Friday, February 10.

Performance fest and open sculpture studios April 29

The Mason Gross Visual Arts Department is drawing on its roots as a locus of experimental work, hosting a free performance festival, sculpture exhibit, and open studios headlined by Andrew Brehm, Sarah Mattes, as well as Patricia Brace. The event is set for Friday, April 29, 2016, and is open to the public.

Esteemed artist Kara Walker named Tepper Chair

Five-year position to include close contact with students

Kara Walker has been named Tepper Chair in Visual Arts at the Mason Gross School of the Arts.  Her five-year term commences fall 2015, centered on research and collaboration with graduate and undergraduate students.
