VISIT RUTGERS, NEW BRUNSWICK

We’re eager to help prospective students, their parents, and visitors discover more about Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and all it has to offer. So we’re delighted to welcome you to our new Visitor Center, your gateway to Rutgers. The center is the starting point for tours of the Rutgers–New Brunswick and a place to interact with exhibits that illustrate the university’s history and the contributions Rutgers faculty, students, and alumni have made to New Jersey, the United States, and the world.

SCARLET DAY PLUS

Scarlet Day Plus events provide visitors with the unique opportunity to attend an an in-depth information session about Rutgers University hosted by a University admissions counselor followed by a bus tour of the New Brunswick campus with a student guide. Following the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to attend a presentation and q&a with the Admissions Director of Mason Gross School of the Arts. 

Scarlet Day plus events do not include walking tours of the Mason Gross facilities, so you are highly encouraged to spend the whole day with us on campus by also arranging tours with the department in which you are interested in learning about linked above.  Mason Gross Scarlet Day Plus event dates are:

  • July 9, 2013 - A.M. Session
  • July 18, 2013 - A.M. Session

General campus tours are given Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. (except major holidays).

COLLEGE DANCE DAY

High school students with previous dance experience may choose from a variety of master classes with professional faculty, interact with university dance majors, visit the Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey’s campus, watch a live college performance, meet with admissions representatives and see what life at a major university dance program is like.

Tours are given by appointment Mondays from 9:00am to 2:00pm, Thursdays from 10:30am – 12:30 pm and Fridays 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Please call 732-932-9190 or email music@masongross.rutgers.eduto make a reservation for a tour.

  • Open houses take place in the Marryott Music Building’s Schare Recital Hall, Douglass Campus, 81 George Street next to the Nicholas Music Center. Parking is free in Lot 79, Hickman Hall. **To reserve a spot please CLICK HERE.** Reservations are not mandatory but highly recommended.
