Adjacent to the Performing Arts Complex is the Mabel Smith Douglass Library, which houses the university's fine arts collection. There is exhibition space in which both student and faculty work are displayed, as well as invitational exhibitions.
The Blanche and Irving Laurie Music Library contains approximately 40,000 books, 75,000 scores, and 20,000 recordings,
as well as an extensive Spoken Word collection. A dedicated team of music librarians is on hand.
The Media Center archives over 22,000 recordings, and has playback facilities for a variety of media formats. An electronic keyboard is available. The nearby graduate seminar room has quality playback equipment. Many class assignments are also available on-line.
