Free parking is available in lots 74A, 79 and 79A for visitors only from 45 minutes prior to the scheduled performance time. Lots 73 (near Marryott Music Building), 79, 79A (both near Hickman) and 74A (located near New Gibbons) are all permit lots. Parking regulations are in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Rutgers employees and students must follow all rules and regulations regarding lot assignment authorized by their particular permit. Go to rudots.rutgers.edu for complete and up-to-date rules and regulations. Parking for patrons with disabilities is available in the marked spaces adjacent to Nicholas Music Center.
Campus transportation directions Take campus bus EE to the Gibbons stop on the Douglass College campus. Walk across George Street at the light, and the center is directly in front of you. Campus transportation directions Take campus bus F to the George Street stop near Livingston Avenue. The building is located next to the State Theatre. Public transportation directions The New Brunswick train station, which has Amtrak and NJ Transit connections, is about an hour from New York City and Philadelphia. Civic Square is approximately five minutes walking distance from the station. Cross Albany St. (Route 27) and turn left. Walk a block and a half to George St. Turn right onto George St. and walk four blocks to Livingston Ave. Turn right onto Livingston Ave. Civic Square is at the corner of Livingston and New Street. Driving directions From Route 18 (North or South) Northbound – On Route 18 North, pass the entrance for the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 1. After the first traffic light (Paulus Blvd.), bear right following signs for "All Exits." Take the first right-hand exit for New Street. At the light, go straight and proceed through the next light at George Street. At the next light, you will see the Civic Square building on the right, next to the State Theatre.

Campus buses A, F, H, l, and LX stop on George Street near Hamilton Street, and the chapel is across from the Zimmerli Art Museum. Public transportation directions The New Brunswick train station, which has Amtrak and NJ Transit connections, is about an hour from New York City and Philadelphia. The chapel is located on the southbound side of the railroad tracks on the other side of the street. Driving directions From the New Jersey Turnpike, Route 1 and/or Route 18: New Jersey Turnpike: Take Exit 9 from the New Jersey Turnpike, follow signs for Route 18 North - New Brunswick. Approximately 1.5 miles up Route 18 North, take exit for Commercial Ave., New Street, Albany Street/RT 27 South. Continue on Route 18 North to Albany Street/RT 27 South exit. Follow exit to Albany Street/RT 27 South to the third traffic light (George Street). Turn right on George Street, pass under railroad bridge to corner of Somerset and George streets. The chapel's driveway is through the black wrought iron gates directly in-between George and Somerset streets. Route 1: Take Route 18 North to New Brunswick. Continue past one light on Route 18, take exit for Commercial Ave., New Street, Albany Street/RT 27 South. Continue on Route 18 North to Albany Street/RT 27 South exit. Follow exit to Albany Street/RT 27 South. Continue on Albany Street/RT 27 South to the third traffic light (George Street). Turn right on George Street, pass under railroad bridge to corner of Somerset and George streets. The chapel's driveway is through the black wrought iron gates directly in-between George and Somerset streets. From the Garden State Parkway (North or South): Southbound: Take Exit 129 for the New Jersey Turnpike and head south. Take Exit 9. follow signs for Route 18 North - New Brunswick. Take exit for Commercial Ave., New Street, Albany Street/RT 27 South. Continue on Route 18 North to Albany Street/RT 27 South exit. Follow exit to Albany Street/RT 27 South to the third traffic light (George Street).Turn right on George Street, pass under railroad bridge to corner of Somerset and George streets. The chapel's driveway is through the black wrought iron gates directly in-between George and Somerset streets. Northbound: Take Exit 105 to Route 18 North. Travel Route 18 North take exit for Commercial Ave., New Street, Albany Street/RT 27 South. Continue on Route 18 North to Albany Street/RT 27 South exit. Follow exit to Albany Street/RT 27 South to the third traffic light (George Street). Turn right on George Street, pass under railroad bridge to corner of Somerset and George streets. The chapel's driveway is through the black wrought iron gates directly in-between George and Somerset streets. From Interstate 287 (North or South): Take Exit 9 (River Road-Bound Brook-Highland Park). Proceed east on River Road approximately 3 miles (you will pass Rutgers Stadium on left). At the 2nd traffic light after the RU Stadium/Landing Lane make right onto Route 18 South and cross over the Raritan via the John Lynch Memorial Bridge. Take the first exit (George Street-Rutgers University, New Brunswick, Route 27). Keep to the left as you travel to the top of the ramp, and at the traffic light proceed straight on George Street. Turn right one block after the third traffic light (immediately after sign for 'Van Nest Welcome Center' -CAUTION-sharp turn through the black iron gates - just before Somerset Street) and proceed up the driveway bearing right into the parking lot.

George Street takes a sharp curve to the right. Pass under the walking bridge. Pass through the first light (Nichol Avenue). Turn left at the next corner onto Jones Avenue. Park on the street. The theater is in the lower level of the Jameson Dormitories on the corner of Jones and Suydam Avenues.
