Theater Arts M.F.A. III Biographies
Alana Barrett received her undergraduate degree in Theater/Communications with a minor in Women’s Studies from Eastern Michigan University. While at Rutgers she has performed as Rachel in Reckless, Gloria in Voir Dire, Rosemary in Rosemary with Ginger, Susie in Hoops, Claire in Proof, Mistress Squeamish in The Country Wife, Bernarda in The House of Bernarda Alba, and M. Dresdon in My Sister In This House. Some of her Regional Theatre Credits include Honey in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolfe? and Ms. Kendal in The Elephant Man at the Planet Ant Theatre; Holly in Anton in Show Business and Sharon in Stillness Between Breaths at The Performance Network Theatre.

Bjorn DuPaty is known as a handsome, edgy leading man full of intensity, passion and presence onstage. He has taken on a wide range of role ranging from Silvio, the romatic lover in A Servant of Two Masters, to Lucius Jenkins, a serial killer in Jesus Hopped the A-train. Bjorn is a young father born and raised in the city of Chicago. He loves to be creative, especially physically, in his work as an actor as well as martial arts and other athletic activities. Bjorn looks forward to continue to entertain people and giving of himself through his work.
Nick Farco received critical praise for his leading role in Premiere Stages original play Owed to My First Love. The New York Times called him “assured and engaging,” and expressed “hope that Mr. Farco will turn up in other productions.” The Star Ledger called him a “rookie of the year,” and “especially funny.” His New York credits include Patriot Acts for the 2007 Midtown International Fringe Festival and Rare Birds. Other credits include Warren in This is Our Youth, Jonathan in Sight Unseen, and Clive/Edward in Cloud Nine. He is a proud member of the Screen Actor’s Guild.
Helen Farmer was raised in the Canadian Rockies and has spent the last seven years in Toronto. She has trained and worked as an improviser at Toronto’s famed Second City. Helen's film and television work includes ‘Kashmir’ in season one of Disney’s “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” and several national commercials. Favorite Rutgers roles have included Dora in The Swan and Ms. Reyes in In Arabia We’d All Be Kings. Helen also loves classical theater; Lady Anne and Isabella are a few of her favorite roles. Helen is passionate about cooking, likes to practice yoga and point out all things Canadian.

Nicole Gant, a southern belle from Augusta Georgia has been on stage since the tender age of 8 where she made her debut as the “singing angel, Angelica" in her church’s nativity play. Obsessive compulsive girlfriend, young professional social worker, lonely newlywed wife, manipulative prostitute, and flamboyant drag queen Keyshawn are some of her favorite roles that have been added to her repertoire since. In her spare time she enjoys cruising to the Caribbean and eating conch-fritters, taking hip-hop and African dance classes, and belting out ballads in the shower from ANYTHING by Beyonce to “The Little Mermaid”.
Kristen Anne Hansen is from Los Angeles where she attended California State University, Northridge and her earned her bachelor's degree in acting. Rutgers roles include My Sister in This House, House of Bernarda Alba, and The Diary of Anne Frank. At the Guthrie Theater, she appeared in Postcards from Earth.
Reggie Phoenix, a native New Yorker, has appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, National and International tours, and regional theaters all over the country. He has worked with Tony Award winning directors Tommy Tune (Grand Hotel), Michael Bennett (A Chorus Line, Dreamgirls), Susan Stroman and Hal Prince (Show Boat) among many others. He received his B.A. in Theater from Metropolitan State University In Minneapolis, MN and MFA in Acting at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts where he played Capulet in Romeo & Juliet, Sammy in In Arabia We’d All be Kings, Tim Timko in Reckless and The title role in The Swan.
Nathan Robinson was born and raised in West Texas and moved to the East Coast with his wife Sarah and nine-year-old son Ethan. In 2003, Nathan was an Irene Ryan National Scholarship Finalist in Acting, garnering him the honor of performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. The following year he played Sam in A.R, Gurney's The Old Boy, and won an American College Theater Festival Award for Outstanding Performance. Favorite Rutgers roles include Hal in Proof (dir. William Carden), and the title character in Romeo and Juliet. Nathan enjoys camping with his family and playing chess with his son.
